Below are links to a variety of Forces and Motion study tools and online quizzes and games. Read the description for each. Other review material will be given out as a hard copy. The Forces and Motion Unit Exam will be on Tuesday, March 14th and will cover the content learned throughout the entire unit. Please prepare yourself by reviewing your science notebook from this entire unit. Your understanding of the metric system from unit 1 will be included in some of the questions so be sure to tap into your memory of the various metric units we have covered as well as which measurement they represent.
Things to focus on in your science notebook are LOS words and BIG IDEAS. Also, review your Cornell Notes and Lab activities to review your understanding of concepts focused on during the each lab activity. Remember, each focus question is there to "focus" your learning and engagement to a specific concept. Review all of your focus questions and you should be able to clearly answer each one using evidence from each activity.
Important formulas to remember are listed below. Each formula should be able to be reversed to solve for missing variables. Ex: Distance = Speed x Time
Speed = Distance/Time
Acceleration = Final Velocity - Starting Velocity
Force = Mass x Acceleration
Pressure = Force/Area
Density = Mass/Volume
