Mr. Bridges - 8th Grade Physical Science
Here is our Running Website for the 2021-22 School Year. This is a website I keep as a record of our daily assignments. I share it with the students as a resource and we access it during class when needed. It will offer a daily snapshot for each week. The CURRENT WEEK will be found at the top. Week 3 (September 13 - September 17)
September 13 - Today we finished the Paper Towel Lab Analysis (graphing), compared class data to determine each team's Accuracy Score and each class period's Accuracy Score.
September 14-15 - Activity 2: Measuring Mass (notebook pages 8-9) Students investigate the property of Mass and their precision skills when using a beam balance. We had a inner-class competition for accuracy and compared class to class too.
September 16 - Activity 3: What's in the BOX? (notebook pages 10-11) Today's lesson focuses on removing the sense of sight and having student's use only their sense of touch and sound to determine... What's in the BOX? I will reveal the answers on Friday.
September 17 - Finish Activity 3 (unveil what's in the box). We will discuss the Notebook check process and rubric. Students receive their "UNIT ZERO NOTEBOOK CHECK" document to help prepare their notebook for Monday's notebook check.

- Receive and sign safety contract (still need parent signature)
- Join Google Classroom
- How to Follow Safety Rules worksheet (due Friday)
- Handed out during class
***Homework - Get parent signatures on "Syllabus (page 2)" and "Safety Contract" by Friday, September 3rd.

- Students learn and practice how to light the Bunsen Burners
September 3 - Safety Poster Selection and Safety Exam
Collaborate with common posters, select the standout of the bunch, Share out
